The Town of Rowley is seeking a part-time Services Coordinator to work 4 hours per week for the Parks & Recreation Department. The Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling and carrying out of recreation programs for the community, including children and user groups, as well as coordinating facilities use and maintaining the department budget. The position works under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Committee and appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The position requires some evening and weekend work. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and two years of experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating special events or programs. Starting rate $13.01 to $14.46 /hr. Grade 4. Field Maintenance Coordinator

The Town of Rowley is seeking a part-time Field Maintenance Coordinator to work 5 hours per week from March 1st to November 1st each year for the Parks & Recreation Department. The Field Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of town recreational fields, acts as a liaison for use of the fields by various organizations, and assists in the purchasing and contracting of materials and services for the town’s recreational fields and parks. The position works under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Committee and is appointed by the Board of Selectmen. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and one year of experience working in field maintenance. Starting rate $11.92 to $13.24 /hr. Grade 3. Reserve 911 Telecommunicator
Police Department
The Rowley Police Department is seeking a reserve 9-1-1 telecommunicator
operator to work in the Rowley Police Department. A reserve 911 Telecommunicator
is a non-scheduled employee who works on an “on call” basis to fill in for benefit
days or when extra staffing is required. A reserve 911 Telecommunicator must provide
emergency response to all requests received through the E911 system, radio system
or other telephonic equipment by dispatching law enforcement personnel and equipment
to the location of need. He or she must also handle non-emergency business for police
and fire and many other Town agencies. This position requires frequent interaction with
computers and applicants must be available for all shifts. The minimum salary for this
position is $14.84 per hour. Reserve 911 Telecommunicators are not eligible for benefits
and are expected to commit to a minimum of two shifts per month, plus an initial training
program. This position is under the direction of the Chief of Police.
Requirements:
A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. is required Must acquire and maintain
Massachusetts Certified 911 Telecommunicator, MCJTC certificate of training as a First
Responder, CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, LEAPS and CJIS certification, and
Suicide Prevention.

Building Inspector

The Town of Rowley is seeking a Building Inspector to work in the Rowley Inspection Department. This position is responsible for interpreting, processing and enforcing the state building code and zoning and sign bylaws. Position oversees the operation of the Inspection Department, including gas, plumbing, and wiring inspection services. The position is appointed by and supervised by the Board of Selectmen. Minimum qualifications include certification by the Mass. Board of Building Regulations or ability to obtain such certification, five years of experience in supervision of building construction or design. Position is 20 hours per week and includes benefits.
